Chapter Summaries for Chapters 22-25


Anchor: M.V

Chapter 22 (M.V): It starts off by Peter and Kit, who are on they’re way to go to London. They stopped over on the side to a place called “Wool Pack Inn”, where they stayed just over night to stay somewhere so they could some solid sleep. In the morning, they had talked to one of the ladies that were there and she had told them to take some roads that would get them there faster, but she had also warned them about the “Virgin Mile”. They weren’t too sure why she was telling them this but they kept an eye out. They we’re on the main road, which they just had to go straight, when all of a sudden Peter had been leading the way and when he looked back Kit wasn’t there. Instead of Kit there, there was four men that we’re standing there. They had tried to escape from the four men that we’re holding them down, and then they heard that the men we’re going to bury them alive, that’s when they knew they had to do something to escape, quick! Peter out of nowhere said that there was an eagle, and of course everyone looked up above them, and Peter and Kit had made a run for it. Then all of a sudden the four men started run also, because they saw a pack of people in the distance coming towards them on horses, and one of the people in the pack was Sir Phillip.



Chapter 23 (M.C.P.V): When Kit and Peter were on there way to save the queen they got robbed and spotted on the road by Sir Phillip Morton, they manage to escape into a forest which Leeds them strangely to Mister Desmond and his acting crew and wife. After they had explained the story of the chase Mister Desmond and his crew decided to help Peter and Kit. The crew pretends to be police working for the queen with the costumes they had for one of their upcoming shows, when Sir Phillip Morton and his friends arrive they “arrest” him for conspiracy against the queen. Mister Desmond and his crew lock Sir Phillip and his friends up in there cart, he tells Kit And Pete to take Sir Phillips horses to save the queen, when Kit and Peter are mounted they discover that the performance where they were going to save the queen at had been moved forward 2 days which leaves not enough time to insure there queens life.



Chapter 24-25 (A.K): Chapter 24 starts with the play about to begin. Peter and Kit have traveled very far and fast to reach the stage and they were very nervous because their plan could not be executed too late or Her Majesty The Queen would be killed. Soon, Burbage walks out for his cue, as Somers was preparing to kill the queen, two guards pull him off. Peter and Kit sigh in relief, their plan worked and the Queen was in danger no more! In the second chapter the Queen hears of their brilliant plan and congratulates them. Peter and Kit explain their journey to her as she nods and laughs. Kit admits to the queen her pretending to be a boy and the Queen asks if she could be Kit’s guardian for a few years, and reluctantly she accepts. Finally, the Queen asks Peter for a wish and he asks that all the land that Sir Phillip would be theirs again and of course she grants his request. Later, Peter and Kit are wed and the Queen sends them gives to celebrate, to Peter’s joy, as he looked out the window he heard Kit’s laughter as she helped their sons climb the apple tree.
